A
number of specially designed buildings were provided for the on site
requirements during the construction of the Channel Tunnel. A building
20m wide by 100m long by 8m to the eaves was designed and erected by
Quickway for the servicing of the rail rolling stock which brought the
excavated material to the surface for disposal. Various other buildings
of similar size were constructed for servicing plant and transport and
also as support units.
